Festival Dancing at Capital City Raqs
We are so excited for you to perform at Capital City Raqs! Our spacious venue features a large raised stage with a beautiful backdrop of the Sacramento skyline, as well as a large changing and storage area and plenty of parking and on-site food and drink. Performers enjoy free festival attendance on the day of their performance. Palestinian Benefit Showcase tickets and Workshops sold separately. Bundle holders receive all workshops (live and recordings), entry to both festival days, a Benefit Showcase ticket, a guaranteed festival performance spot to your choice of live or recorded music, and a Capital City Raqs shirt or tote!! Performers will be announced on 2/1/26. Fill out the Google Form below and send payment to register. We will have so much fun!

Due to a wonderfully large interest in Festival Dancing, we have a tiered sign up system designed to support our amazing instructors! Performance spot priority goes to Bundle holders, then Workshop Attendees, then General Registration on a first come/first serve basis. We fill up very quickly, so don't wait to register! Please review the options for Festival Dancing below and complete the GOOGLE FORM. Only 1 form per troupe.
1) Bundle your Festival to guarantee your performance spot! Bundles come with a festival solo performance spot to your choice of Live or Recorded music, full access to all workshops and events, and more! Bundle holders still must fill out the GOOGLE FORM to reserve a dance spot. *If using your performance spot for a troupe, remaining members pay a $10/each registration fee* Purchase Bundle HERE
2) After Bundle holders, our next spots go to general Workshop Attendees! Sign up for your workshops and fill out the GOOGLE FORM. Workshop Attendee dance spots are assigned on a first come/first serve basis. Performance spot, day/time, and music choice requests are not guaranteed. *If using your performance spot for a troupe, remaining members not taking workshops pay a $10/each registration fee* Sign up for workshops HERE
3) General Registration List: Fill out the GOOGLE FORM and submit $10/dancer to be placed on the General Registration list. Troupes may make a $10 deposit and pay the balance once accepted. Please request live or recorded music. Performance spot, day/time, and music choice requests are not guaranteed. General Registration dance spots are assigned on a first come/first serve basis. If we are unable to accommodate your request to perform your $10 registration fee can either be refunded to you, or donated to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund.
Registration Next Steps:
- Performers and tentative schedule will be confirmed on 2/1/2026. Schedule subject to change. Performers will receive a second Performer Information Form that must be filled out and turned in by 2/15/26. Form includes music upload section and downloadable photo frames for promotional flyers.
- Confirmed performers are to pay balances due by 2/15/26.
- Confirmed performers are to upload music to and submit the Performer Information Form NO LATER then 2/15/26. Music must be mp3 format only, all one track, and labeled PerformerName_Songtitle (i.e. MychelleCrown_EntaOmri). Performers whose Performer Information Form is not submitted on time, with music in correct format and properly labeled, will lose their performance spot.
*Music editing services available for $30 fee*
- Set length is 6 minutes for solos and 7 minutes for troupes. If taking a bow, include your bow/exit music/time in your set.
- Stage dimensions 16 deep x 24 wide during recorded music, 12x24 during live music sections. There will not be access to the stage ahead of performance time. Stage can be entered/exited from either side. Stage wings are 32 inches on stage left, 35 inches on stage right.
